Stage Directing Course

Music Theatre Performance and Drama, Performative Arts - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) / Master of Arts (M.A.)

Stage Directing Course

At the heart of our course is work on new forms of speech and music theatre, as well as on scientifically based approaches to performative theatre. Within the study programme, we teach and debate the basic principles and approaches of philosophy, sociology and aesthetics, a knowledge of theatrical and cultural history, the outlines of a contemporary theatre aesthetic, dramaturgical skills in music and speech theatre, as well as the fundamental craftsmanship and skills of theatre directing.

Statement by the Director of Studies

All the students and teachers within the Directing course want to meet people with an urge to express their lived present through the medium of theatre?

How can we continually redefine the concepts of theatre? How can we call customary ways of seeing into question, and change them?

All the lecturers and professors work in contemporary theatre practice.
