Guided Tours of the Prinzregententheater

The Theaterakademie offers guided tours of the  Prinzregententheater upon request. The building is more than 100 years old and is the only theatre other than the Bayreuth Festspielhaus to take up Richard Wagner’s idea of the theatre and the associated architecture.

Visitors are given an inside view of the theatres, which have been restored to their original state of 1901, with the amphitheatre-like auditorium, the stage with its operational facilities, some of which are historical, and, if available for viewing, the Akademietheater, which is in the same building complex.

The guided tour takes approx. 60 to 75 minutes. For safety reasons, the maximum group size is 25 participants. The tour takes you via some narrow staircases and corridors. If any participants have limited mobility, this would have to be discussed beforehand when booking or confirming a tour.

The price of a guided tour in german for adults' groups is € 120, and € 60 for children’s groups. We also offer guided tours in other languages. Adults' groups cost € 130, children's groups € 70.
