    VIDEO PRODUCTION
    TRANSSTIMME

Opera in two acts based on a story by Fabià Santcovsky
    Libretto Anja Hilling
    Direction/Stage/Editing Blanka Rádóczy
A couple leads a relationship that is harmonious and sensual on all levels. Between the two of them there is an almost daily ritual in which she sings for him and with the power of her voice virtually creates a new universe for both of them. However, when she falls ill and is in danger of falling silent, her focus shifts to preserving her voice. Ultimately, she even accepts the most experimental treatment for this purpose. While she gains unimagined vocal possibilities after the procedure and her perception experiences a new dimension, she simultaneously distances herself from him - suddenly unspeakable universes seem to lie between them.
In "Transstimme" Fabià Santcovsky questions both the existential significance of the human voice for human identity and the risks of a technical optimization mania. With his music theater piece, which is reminiscent of mythological material such as "Pygmalion", but also of the delusion of omnipotence of Faust, he illuminates the questionable technological developments of our present and their effects on our human relationships.

    RECORDING OF THE LIVE STREAM

    WIR SIND NOCH EINMAL DAVONGEKOMMEN
    Play by Thornton Wilder
    Production and stage Marcel Kohler
The world in crisis mode. Humanity in self-destructive impotence. Threats from all sides: wars, climate catastrophe, pandemics. The apocalypse, the inescapable end is approaching. Or maybe not after all? Will we escape once again?
In 1942, the US-American Thornton Wilder wrote "We got away again", a play about mankind plagued by catastrophes and the struggle of constant new beginnings. In 2020, the final year acting class of the August Everding Theater Academy, directed by Marcel Kohler, planned to re-explore this red-hot material. However, due to the Corona crisis, rehearsals and stage performances of the production unfortunately had to be cancelled for the time being.
Instead, the team worked out Wilder's play via video conferencing, taking into account this exceptional theatrical situation. The production was performed live in the individual apartments of the actors and streamed via the Youtube channel of the Theaterakademie.

    KINESPHERE
    A man-machine dance evening in 360 degrees
An industrial robot stands lonely in a remote industrial hall. A remnant of a time when machines did the work for humans, it still performs the assembly movements with which it was programmed - even though there has long since been no work it can meaningfully perform.
Out of an antagonistic moment, man and machine begin to communicate with each other through movement and dance. Their encounter becomes a magical moment of confluence.

    SMART FILM, INFINITE DURATION
    THE FUTURE IS NOT UNWRITTEN
    Idea/direction/production: Susanne Steinmaßl
„The future is not unwritten“ is a smart film about artificial intelligence and transhumanism. An intelligent film which narrates and transforms itself endlessly, using machine learning and deep learning code. Implemented algorithms – used by google to create AI – are utilized to explore the gigantic dimension of current developments. Are we developing into „Übermenschen“, into „Super-humans“ or are we getting rid of ourselves? Ethical categories or historical blueprints are missing: there is no case study on the abolition of mankind.
„The future is not unwritten“ is an alternative contribution to this discourse. A narrative corridor between art and science that approaches the moral renegotiation of the human being.
In cooperation with the University of Television and Film Munich
Duration: 5 - 9 p.m.; access possible at any time

    14 CURTAINS
    VR monologue by Einar Schleef
Klaus Müller plays Schleef plays Minetti. In the gutted Großes Haus of the Augsburg Staatstheater, the terse monologue "14 curtains" becomes a kind of evocation of ghosts. The empty house speaks to the long-time protagonist, who now runs his lonely course.
He only finds his language when he reaches the heart chamber of the house, the stage. He traces the aura of former triumphs and experiences their transience anew. The memories of the actor, who has become homeless, fill the virtual space and make the stage as a mythical place almost physically tangible.

    Duration: 30 minutes
  • 19:00 - 20:40
    SHOW
HALLO – GANZ BEFREIT VOM KÄTHCHEN VON HEILBRONN (Premiere)
A project by Anna Malena Große
Hello is an idea, Hello is a gesture. Hello allows us contact with something or someone. People constantly enter into relationship with the world: asking who a person is, meeting a person, or using their phone. Their relationship to people and the environment influences their actions. But how do people in the twenty-first century encounter themselves, the nature they destroy, and the technology that surrounds them? One answer might be found in another question. The spectators, the players, and a machine capable of learning embark together on a search for a (thinking) figure. They ask: What is a Käthchen von Heilbronn?
