Statement by the Director of Studies

Theatre tells stories in spaces and it also tells them through spaces. For the vocation of the scenographer, it is therefore essential to be inspired by rooms and to trace their atmospheric effect.  Independent artistic attitudes and individual forms of expression are developed through precise observation and constant experimentation. This course in Scenography and Stage Costume Design endeavours to allow the requisite freedom and scope while providing training that is close to the theatre and its technical processes.
